How long until I can walk on it?
Right away in socks or clean shoes. Most carpet is dry in 4–8 hours depending on airflow and humidity — running the AC or a fan speeds it up. Keep pets off until it is dry.
How often should carpet be professionally cleaned?
Most carpet manufacturers recommend hot-water extraction every 12–18 months, and many warranties require it. Homes with pets, kids or allergy sufferers usually benefit from cleaning more often.
Will the pet odor come back?
Odor returns when urine has soaked into the pad and only the surface was cleaned. We treat it where it soaked in. If the pad is badly saturated it may need replacing, and your technician will tell you on the spot.
Is it safe for kids and pets?
Yes. Professional cleaning solutions are rinsed out during extraction, and we skip heavy perfumes. Just keep everyone off the carpet until it is dry.
Can dark grout really come back?
Usually, yes — most dark grout is trapped dirt, not a permanent stain, and it lifts with pressure and heat. Grout that was never sealed, or that is stained rather than dirty, may come back lighter but not uniform; your technician will tell you what to expect before starting.
Should grout be sealed afterwards?
It is worth it on floors. Grout is porous, so sealing it right after cleaning is when it does the most good — spills sit on the surface long enough to wipe up instead of soaking in. It is optional and quoted separately.
Can you do carpet and tile on the same visit?
